At MountainCare Grief Support, we believe that people who are grieving can greatly benefit from the support of others. Without care and support, grief can remain unaddressed and unresolved in a person’s life. Our services are designed to help grievers find the support they need, when they need it most, from a team of compassionate licensed grief counselors and specialists.

We offer support in a variety of ways for individuals and families. All services begin with an initial appointment with a counselor.

  • Individual grief counseling
  • Grief education classes – a four-week program that offers insights and strategies on managing your grief
  • Good Grief support groups – ongoing weekly meetings (day and evening), guided by a simple idea: the work of grief can be made lighter when we help others and let others help us
  • Semi-annual memorial services – a non-denominational program that honors those who have died and acknowledges the loss we feel, with live original arrangements from our Music Therapy program in collaboration with CarePartners Hospice.
  • Youth Grief Support – individual and group grief counseling and programs for children ages 5-17 held at schools and our youth grief support office
  • Other special groups and workshops are announced throughout the year, and specialized grief groups are formed as needs arise

Groups and individual counseling begin with a private intake session with a counselor, who can help you decide how we can best help you.
