Adult Day Supports You and Your Loved One

One in four adults in Western North Carolina are over the age of 65 – a rate much higher than the rest of the state. As a result, more of our WNC neighbors are facing difficult choices about how and where to seek support. MountainCare provides families with the options they deserve: an alternative to long-term care that allows individuals to age at home while engaging with their community. At the same time, respite provided through our program makes it possible for caregivers to complete errands, attend medical appoints, and socialize without worrying whether or not their loved one is safe and engaged. Weekday, day time hours also ensure that caregivers never have to choose between their job or their loved one.
